James joined Smith Young in 1991 soon after Meadowhall opened and is now Senior Equity Partner. He has over 30 years’ experience at the cutting edge of shopping centre leasing and continues to advise on Meadowhall and Trafford as well as a number of other leading retail destinations.

James lives north of York in the Howardian Hills and is married with 3 daughters who keep him on his toes.

In addition to spending time with his family, interests include skiing, golf, rugby and time out walking or on the bike, injuries permitting.
