Joel joined Smith Young in 2008 from CBRE and is now head of the  Lease Consultancy team.  

He started his career at London Transport  Property then after qualifying moved to CBRE in London.

After 7 years working in London, Joel then moved to CBRE’s Leeds office joining the lease consultancy team.

With  over 25 years’ experience, Joel provides strategic advice to shopping  centre landlords working on some of the premier shopping centres in the  UK.  The work includes lease renewals, rent reviews, lease restructures  and expert witness work, having been called to Court on several  occasions.  His clients include British Land, Pradera Lateral and URW.

Outside of work Joel’s interests include playing football, watching his local rugby team, golf and mountain biking.
