Nick started working with Smith Young early in 2025 after 10 years at Metis Real Estate Advisors in Manchester as a Director in the Retail Agency team.

Starting his property career in 1999 at Brady Chartered Surveyors in Manchester Nick then spent 3 years working for Grub & Ellis and Triton Real Estate in San Francisco; before moving to London and joining retail agency specialist Churston Heard. Heading back to Manchester in 2006 he spent 4 years in the retail agency team at Colliers prior to stints with CBRE and Tushingham Moore.

With a particular focus on advising landlords and investors Nick has provided strategic leasing and disposal advice on a wide range of shopping centres, retail parks and high street instructions across major towns and cities in the north of the UK.  In addition, he has a long track record in providing acquisition and disposal advice to a variety of occupiers.  His clients include Kennedy Wilson, New River, Columbia Threadneedle, Bruntwood and Pure Gym.

Away from work Nick can usually be found spending time with his family, running, watching sport or attending gigs.
